I studied midwifery under the renowned Elizabeth Davis January 2000. In my studies, I noticed a gap between the inconsistent impersonal hospital care and the birthing mother’s well-being and desires. I opted for a different role in the birthing & postpartum community. I began my trainings and launched my profession as a birth Doula September 2000. In my years as a birth Doula, overwhelming requests for postpartum night support skyrocketed. I recognized through extensive research the direct link between postpartum support and postpartum depression, which began to explain the high volume of requests. I transitioned into providing new families with postpartum services in 2004. By March 2007, I trained and certified under UCLA's Lactation program. Currently, I cater my profession exclusively towards postpartum families helping to relieve the challenges having a baby can bring.

As a mother of 4, I understand the importance of having current, reliable information at hand. There are postpartum realities that unfortunately, go unacknowledged, unsupported and/or unnoticed. Postpartum experiences are always extremely unpredictable and vary with each child and experience. My continued education, research, rich experience and style techniques encourage all parents to nurture their own personal resources, parenting style, and family values. My experience and education also supports lesbian families. This relationship is long standing after I leave your family.
